About BDVP:
BDVP exists to serve and advocate for women and families affected by domestic violence. The goal of BDVP is to provide a wide array of comprehensive support services that empower individuals and enrich our community by ensuring that families are protected, valued, and defended in the Bluegrass Region.

BDVP's emergency shelter is located on 40 acres in Fayette County providing a beautiful space for privacy, peace and healing. This 32-bed home includes twelve bedrooms, two community living rooms, a large dining area, group rooms, children's playrooms, a library and an art room. This facility is fully secure and staffed 24 hours per day.
 

BDVP also operates two satellite offices, located in Richmond and Danville. Counseling, casework, legal advocacy and support groups are offered at each of these locations.
